The Brands Guru
FAQ

What the FAQ is this?

Answers to the questions we get most often. Check them out to see how I roll.

What’s considered a serious offer?

Every name in The Brands Guru is a curated digital asset with a live site behind it. A serious offer reflects the market value of the brand, not the cost of registering a domain. If you’re building a real business and see branding as an investment, not an expense, we’re happy to start a conversation.

Why didn’t I get a reply to my offer?

We review complete and realistic proposals. Each domain’s pricing page shows the minimum offer we consider: offers below it, or without valid business details, are not answered. Include your company name, website and intended use for the brand.

Do you accept offers from brokers or intermediaries?

Yes, as long as the broker discloses the client’s identity and business intent. We don’t handle anonymous or speculative inquiries.

Can I lease a domain instead of buying it?

Yes. You can lease monthly or yearly with no minimum term and cancel at any time: the lease ends at the end of the period you already paid. With lease-to-own, the domain is transferred to you after the last installment.

What happens when my lease ends?

The domain stops pointing to your nameservers and your right to use the name ends. Ownership stays with Start Me Hub srl, and the domain may later be leased or sold again.

Do I get hosting or email with a lease?

No. A lease gives you the right to use the domain while it is active: you run your own website and email on the platform you prefer (WordPress, Shopify, Kajabi, Google Workspace and so on).

What payment methods do you accept?

Leases are paid by card through Stripe and sold through Link (link.com), which appears at checkout and on your statement. Purchases are paid by bank transfer and invoiced by Start Me Hub srl. All prices exclude VAT and other taxes.

How long does it take?

With a lease the domain points to your nameservers within 24 hours. After a purchase, the transfer to your registrar (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare and others) starts when the funds arrive and usually completes within 5–10 business days.

What is a nameserver, and why do you ask for it?

A nameserver tells the internet where your website and email live. With a lease the domain stays registered to us, and we point it to your nameservers so your site appears under the name while you manage every DNS record.

Can I make an offer?

Yes, on every domain, from the minimum offer shown on its pricing page. Listed prices reflect the strategic, linguistic and market value of each name; lowball proposals are not considered.

Can you create a custom name or brand for me?

Yes: naming, domain strategy and brand foundations for new businesses and rebrands. See Consulting or write to us from the Contact page.

Can I register a trademark on a leased domain?

No. You may register the name as a trademark only after a full purchase, subject to availability.

Are your brands unique?

Yes. Every name is hand-selected and leased or sold to one business at a time. When a domain is sold, it leaves the catalog.

Who owns the brand after a purchase?

Once payment and transfer are complete, you own the domain and receive perpetual rights to the brand name as defined in the purchase agreement.

How do I start?

Open the domain’s site and its “Prices and terms” page: start a lease with a card, request the purchase or make an offer. We reply personally by email.
